Society for Nurture Education and Health Activities (SNEHA) is a voluntary social organization, serving the poor and needy rural community in Andhra Pradesh, India. It was started in 2004 with its main office at Gotlam. Later expanded its work to Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts.
It was founded and working towards long term sustainable Development of Rural & Tribal communities in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts in Andhra Pradesh.
SNEHA has been providing education for children and training in job oriented skill development to the rural youth and implementing home based income generating schemes and self employment opportunities for the rural population, SNEHA is also working towards prevention of new HIV infections in partnership with government of Andhra Pradesh through Mobile Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (MICTC) for the remote rural and tribal areas under the Public Private partnership model.
Extensive networks have been developed with the communities, local leaders, other voluntary organizations and government agencies. Oversees funding has been a key factor in progress made for so far. Over the years SNEHA also developed strong partnerships with international agencies and is right now implementing multiyear projects focussed on the children and youth from marginalized rural population and preventive health projects under public private partnerships model.
